Reproductive Freedom
From his very first election in 2016, Jason has made reproductive rights a priority. When Trump and the federal government began attacking reproductive rights and freedom, Jason was part of the small group of Democrats who fought to codify Roe v. Wade into Rhode Island state law. As a result, when the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision stripped away reproductive autonomy from women in the rest of the country, women in Rhode Island were protected. As Attorney General, Jason will continue to stand with women to ensure the right to reproductive health care is always protected in Rhode Island.
As Attorney General, Jason will:
Establish a reproductive rights task force to coordinate statewide protections.
Launch a legal support hotline to assist abortion providers and patients in real time.
Expose the deceptive and dangerous practices of crisis pregnancy centers.
